API Orbit Plug Valve (Soft seal)

During the opening/closing process of the valve, there is no contact between the valve body and the vane, so the sealing surface has neither friction nor wears, which can bring a long service life to the valve.

The double break/bleed valve is superior to the common gate and ball valve in terms of its sealing performance and service life. It has the functions of fireproof, online maintenance, double block/ bleed, cavity pressure relief, internal leak detection, etc.

Its wide applications in the oil and gas storage and transportation systems can solve many problems encountered in pipeline design, which not only optimized the pipeline design but also saved its operation costs.

Structural Features

• Small torque, easy to open and close
• Convenient repairing, no need to remove the valve from the pipeline, just remove the bottom cover and replace the vane pair
• Reduced or full bore, the medium can flow through the valve without any flow resistance
• The cavity of the valve is coated with hard chrome, so the sealing surface is hard and smooth
• The elastic seal on the vane is made of Viton, moulded in the groove on the vane surface. The metal-to-metal seal is used as a backing for the elastic seal, which not only ensures the valve’s good sealing with zero leakage but also has the function of fire prevention
• The valve can be equipped with an automatic air release device, which can prevent the abnormal pressure rise in the valve cavity and check the valve’s effect after its completely closed
